I chose this as my favorite photo because...

• I love how their being no light made the picture more in depth and meaningful to characterize how they feel
• With the being against the door talking gave an image of how joyful they were when made conversation with each other.
• The lines from the door made the picture become more describable and helps pay attention to Roelyne and Mayra.

I chose this picture to be my best photo because...

• The light in this photo really played a big part in this photo, chris's shadow made this photo more mysterious and interesting.
• In this picture it conveys a meaning of pain and thinking, with his head down you can notice the body language he had when taking this photo.
•  To me this looks like a cover of a CD album and with the dirty spots around Chris's helps you focus what Chris is doing even more.

7. Three Advantages and Disadvantages When Working in a Group

Advantages

• You'll never get bored with one another.
• You'll make new friends and create meaningful relationships with one another.
• You'll always have that one person that can help you with whatever you missed or don't understand.

Disadvantages

• With their being different personalities some may become annoyed with each other.
• Everybody is going to have different opinions so it may not work being together.
• Instead of worrying about yourself getting done, you have to worry about all your group members being done because its a group project.

12. Second Semester

In second semester Im mostly interested in taking more photos with my group members but this time we take photos of other group members, just to mix it up a little you know?

13. Hecka Free Zone

Mr Farley has a "Hecka Free Zone' because he is an urban person. He is mainly interested in how one sees and hears something not how one talks through everything. He gives reasoning through the life of a picture and he listen to different cultures of music because he is a mellow but interesting person.

Final Project of the Semester

I picked this photo as one of my best photos because I like how elegant Chris reflects from the light that day, with the silver wall in the back help make his shadow pop and help maintain the color balance.

I chose this picture as one of my best pictures is because the element of how she gazes off made it more noticeable with the sun hitting her eyes. The balance of the skin tone helped make this photo become more visible.

This photo is one my favorites because with them talking to each other helped make the picture become more fun and help show that you don't always have to be serious when doing photography.

Philippe Halsman

Biography

Philippe Halsman was born in Riga and began to take photographs in Paris in the 1930s. He arrived in the United States in 1940, just after the fall of France, having obtained an emergency visa through the intervention of Albert Einstein. In the course of his prolific career in America, Halsman produced reportage and covers for most major American magazines, including a record 101 covers for Life magazine. In 1945 he was elected the first president of the American Society of Magazine Photographers, where he led the fight for photographers' creative and professional rights. 
      
      

   

Our Group Inspiration

When we researched Halsman, we saw the jumping photographs and when seeing that we immediately wanted to try it. Most photographers had plain and simple portraits that really didn't tell a story and looking at Halsman photography we came to the conclusion that he had very motivating pictures that inspires us to become more than an average photographer. Seeing all the different techniques he uses to create an awesome photograph is phenomenal.
